How to prepare for CMAT?

  • Conceptual Clarity
Candidates with better clarity about the various concepts involved in each section stand a better chance of solving the questions easily. Therefore, it is better to spend some time to understand the concepts involved before jumping into the preparation.
  • Identify your strengths and weaknesses
The quickly candidates find out their strong and weak areas vis-à-vis the syllabus, the better it is for them. This awareness will help them allot considerable time to their weak areas, without neglecting the strong ones, so that, over a period of time, their weaknesses turn into strengths.
  • Speed and Accuracy
CMAT is a time based exam. The candidates need to develop speed and accuracy during their preparation. A candidate should try to lower his/her response time to a question and ensure that the questions that he/she chooses to answer are answered with a high degree of accuracy. It is not important to answer all questions but maintaining a high accuracy makes all the difference.
  • Mock Tests
Solving Mock Tests regularly not only gives a boost to your confidence and helps you decide a strategy and manage time, but also reveals the areas you still need to improve in. This timely reminder helps you increase your strong areas, thereby improving your chances of scoring well.
  • Planning
Knowing what to expect in the exam will help you chalk out a strategy on how you will go about solving the paper. Adding shortcuts and tricks to your repertoire only helps you save time and answer the questions quickly. Attempting the questions you are sure about with a high level of accuracy will increase your chances of cracking the entrance exam.
